Pelvic Zhush

In New Zealand, it is estimated that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 10 men experience some symptoms of incontinence. Don't be another statistic, put an end to those sudden urges, those small leaks and embarrassing moments. Strengthen your pelvic floor to manage incontinence and get your life back!

About the Pelvic Zhush

The Pelvic Zhush is a non-invasive device designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Clients sit fully clothed on the device as it emits an electromagnetic pulse generating over 10,000 pelvic floor contractions over a single 30 minute session.

The Pelvic Zhush is able to treat both men and women experiencing pelvic floor related issues such as:

  • Stress incontinence

  • Urge incontinence

  • Poor pelvic floor circulation and strength

  • Erectile dysfunction

How it works

The pelvic floor is a very important muscle that spans from the Coccyx / tail bone (at the base of the spine) to the public bone. It supports the pelvic organs, being the bladder, bowel, uterus (women) and prostate (men). If the pelvic floor muscles are weakened, they can create problems with bladder and bowel control as well as sexual dysfunction.

The Pelvic Zhush utilises High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology that emits electromagnetic pulses targeted at neuromuscular tissue of the pelvic floor and generates intense and concentrated pelvic floor contractions (mimicking a Kegel exercise). A single HIFEM session generates over 10,000 supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, the frequency and intensity of the contractions generated by the Pelvic Zhush are not able to be performed on your own using traditional at home Kegel exercises.

Key to the effectiveness of this process is the focused electromagnetic energy, in-depth penetration, and stimulation of the entire pelvic floor area. This directly changes and strengthens the muscle structure and induces a more efficient growth of protein strands and muscle fibres that lifts and strengthens the pelvic floor restoring control of the pelvic organs.

Results that matter with HIFEM technology

To date there have been numerous peer reviewed clinical studies on the use of HIFEM technology to strengthen the pelvic floor for the treatment of incontinence and sexual health. Results may vary, however one study in the UK found over 80% of patients using HIFEM technology reported significant reductions to their incontinence symptoms.
